Merry Christmas!

Ren, stop eating all the chocolates!

Please, can we open our presents now?!

Rusty and Porter join the quest to figure out the most puzzling of puzzles! The rubix cube.

Ren loves his new truck. He even tried to ride it!

Grandpa shares his golf cart with the kiddos. And this baby has heat for the winter and AC for the summer...sweet!

Christmas is so awesome with little kids! The whole month has been fun. One tradition we have is to put up a new picture ornament for each kid on the tree. So as we decorate the tree, all the kids are so excited to gather their ornaments and stare at them, and remember how cute (or little, or silly) they looked in the past. And then they put them on the tree. It takes a lot of will power for me to watch MJ put all 5 of hers in one little spot on the tree, not spread out, just clumped together! Oh, and all the goodies! We are so lucky to know so many good cooks! There's peanut brittle, toffee, peppermint bark, breads, muffins...the list goes on, and we are nice and round after this month! So worth it...but come January, back to normal. Thanks friends! We spent Christmas Day and the days preceeding at home this year. The kids do a Marsh gift exchange and we traditionally open that gift on Christmas Eve after we read the Christmas story from the Bible and sing some songs. Ellie woke at 4 am, and we sent her back to bed! Yikes. Thankfully they slept in until about 7. We had a great Christmas day...I think my favorite part was when Rusty pulled out one of Ren's presents from under the tree. It was a shake 'n go Lightning McQueen car, and it started to rev and said I am speed! Ren just about flipped! I'll try to get that video on here later. Then we packed up and headed to my sister Liz's for the afternoon. We had a great afternoon and dinner with Liz, Charlie and family. Thanks guys! Then we drove to Grandma and Grandpa's in St. George. (Thanks for having us, even on short notice!) One of the highlights of the weekend for the kids was riding and driving in the golf cart...Thanks Grandpa!
